How thin I rolled it

Technically, Jeremy and I have made homemade pasta once before. With our friends Elsie and Andrew (the same couple who helped me check off homemade doughnuts and homemade dumplings last fall), over a decade ago we made homemade orecchiette. But, that was just rolling dough and using our hands.
We wanted to actually roll out long pasta as a new adventure. So, how perfect (and an interesting coincidence!) that my Father’s Day gift was a pasta maker.
We made the dough from scratch – nothing like chasing stray eggs around the counter as they escape your mountain of flour.
The rolling was fun, and definitely benefits from an extra person – one to feed it and roll it and one to gather it as it passes through the press.
Our linguine came out great, and it was fun to make!
